    What is 'large' these days?

Half the market is too fucking big for me to put up with. :dunno

IMO large is 1000cc and up. Middle is in the 800cc range and 650's are on the lower mid-range.

If you want to make a trip out of it let me know. I am at Latus in Gladstone (Portland) Oregon. I could set up your new XR with higher gearing (that is what I am going to do to mine) like my friend did to his.

Part of me laments that manufacturers seem to be moving from 600/1000 platforms to 800/1200 platforms.

On the other hand, 800 was what I wanted in the first place...

Was shopping for Honda 919's , Kawasaki ZRX's a couple years ago, ended up with a Bandit 1250s.

Was really wanting the 919 but none for sale near me at the time.

    Standard looking, big motor.

How about a UNJM? The Uly is a nice bike.

Everyone keeps bringing up the Gladius and the ER-6N... it makes me want to cry. Those are the two UGLIEST :puke1:puke1:puke1bikes ever to disgrace our planet. Please leave them out of the discussion!:rofl

UJMs are the only street bikes I've ever owned, I've had 7 so far, and they were all originals.

I just love the style, simplicity, and comfortable riding position.

    My current "standard".

I'll second that motion! I was planning to buy a naked standard, but wound up with a damned Ninja instead just because all the cheap naked bikes - in other words, the ones I could afford - were so fugly they gave me the barfs. I tried to like the ER6N. I really did. Tried to like the Gladius too, even with the stupid name. But I just couldn't bring myself to buy a bike I'd be able to ride only if my stomach was empty. Bleeech!
