If you come up with a decal instead of etching let us know, I'd be happy to represent!

In the works! I may need to sell a couple more sets to buy the volume I need, but they will be nice! I need to make some phone calls on Monday. :evil

Every previous customer that wants some will get some shipped for free. Give me a shout and you will get on the mailing list. :D

I'm going to have some very nice Polyurethane "domed top" decals made up. I don't know how fast their turn-around time is, but I'm guessing I should have some in hand within a month. If it doesn't cost too much extra, I want to see if I can get the background color reflective. That would be pretty nice!

what about plain vinyl die cut decals done with 3m scotchlite material, they make a simple black, reflective.

bound to be cheaper than poly "puff" decals

Yeah, no doubt it would probably be a fifth of the price.

I think reflective is definitely on the want list. No matter what I order, I do want that. It's a nice added safety feature.

Here's what got me started on the domed top decal kick...

I got these in the mail the other day and really liked how nice they look. I want mine to be an elongated oval with red, reflective background. KP lettering color as yet undetermined. Something with good contrast. Probably black, white, or maybe a grey.

Vinyl would probably be less than a dollar per label. Just guessing? but these Polyurethane decals will likely be $5 each and will probably have a minimum run of several hundred to get them for that price. I'll investigate more on Monday... :evil

I just have these in mind, so that's what I want to put on my panniers. Once I see things in my mind, I just have to figure out how to make it happen. :D

Will it be worth 5x the price? I think so.

    Kirk -
Keep in mind that a raised label on a flat surface - especially something like a panier - will be easily damaged by boots, etc.

They will go on outside rear corners. If your boot hits that, you are in bigger trouble than a ruined decal. :D

i see what youre going with there..... but i have a suggestion.

since you ship your panniers un coated, i would not apply the decal as many people would want to have them coated. otherwise, you're spending hard earned cash for something that is going to get taken off and not able to be put on.

just my $.02, but hey, your bottle openers are great.

Well, one more reason (which now makes 2) to head out that way.

By the way, the top rack now feels like a rock, even at speeds that my attorney says I should never admit to in public...

Thanks, Mike, but I can't take the design credit. I worked off dimensions provided by Arthur. They do look factory on there, though. He did a great job envisioning how they'd look.

No, but you can certainly take credit for executing the idea.

    Kirk,
I like the idea of the dome decal, I've used websticker.com for die cut vinyl before, here's a link to something similar to the banks decal.

    Love the work you do!
