Well there you go Michael. Indeed why bother with the whip? Why bother making empty internet threats about how we'd show that biker how badass we are?

Get back whips are about the stupidest "aesthetic" accessory I've ever seen on a motorcycle, even dumber than the leather tassels on the brake and clutch levers.

I'm just pointing out for all the internet commandos here that as dumb as that whip is, it's still not as dumb as attacking a biker with a car. That's not self defense, it's assault and quite possibly attempted murder compounded by world class stupidity that lands you in jail.

    Unless...:deal

There's a youtube video around in which a biker and a civic? driver have an altercation on the Vegas Strip. In it the car driver leaves first, pulls up to a left turn arrow and the biker is right on his ass, revving his cruiser furiously. Arrow turns green, the car launches into the turn, the biker follows suit and halfway thru the turn the car brake checks the biker. Boom, down he goes and the car drives sedately away... I thought that was particularly well played. :lol3

I remember that, and I also remember that the rider was dicking around with the whip, figuring out that he can't operate the throttle when he is holding the whip.

Someone needs to make a throttle relocation kit to move it to the left side, thereby allowing the pirates to use their right hand to crack that whip! They could sell it as an accessory at the HD dealers. :lol3

Yep that's the one... So boys and girls, if you're contemplating using a get back whip, make sure your bike has cruise control!:norton

True, HD does not always equal asshole. There is someone that lives in my building, has a Yamaha cruiser, is an asshole even off the bike.

I was riding one day and came up behind a metric cruiser whose brake light was blinking on and off erratically. I pointed to his tail light and tried to communicate this but he thought I meant his turn signal was on which it wasn't. At a traffic light I told him what was happening. It turns out he had one of those leather braids and at speed it flipped around enough in the breeze to pull the lever enough to trigger the brake light.

They'd be decent for whipping other riders, assuming you could catch one with the throttle closed on a Harley.

Many Harley's have cruise control and almost every Harley you've ever seen has a screw under the right control pod which can be used to lock the throttle WFO if you want to. (It's perfect for whipping other riders...):1drink
