I'll be the mechanic guy! I agree with your sentiments on MEC and OHV use and try to avoid them as much as possible....
Yeah what Dave 6 said. This guy got one going on Vancouver Island and also builds cool Versys/KLR hybrids! Check out Dave's link.
Just thought I'd pass this along... I've been working up in Swan Hills this summer in the oil patch, turns out my boss has a 2000 XR400R with about 4 hrs on it. He saw my plated XR650R and was convinced that he had to have the same. So he gave me his credit card and I ordered up all the parts he needed for legal requirements. He just went to the registry today to try and switch his registration over from "off highway" to "motorcycle". 10 minutes later he was out with a street legal XR400R. If you have a bike you want to plate, it still can be done, don't believe the nay-sayers yet... pictures to come soon...
Figured I would ask on the off chance but does anyone have a new or used tire for a rear 18" wheel in a 150 or 140 size so that it that will fit a KTM adventure? Just need something that will get me back to Detroit, nearly bald is alright. Put a brand new Mefo on in Saskatchewan on the way to Alaska and its pretty much gone after doing both the dempster and dalton. Will be getting into calgary or near the area Saturday afternoon/night so no shops will be open.
I've got a brand new tkc 80 rear for my SE. Was in the same boat a couple years ago in Missoula, PM me and I'll give you my contact info. I don't have any tire irons though.
I've got a new 140 size tire if you are still looking. i'll be around sunday at noon if your still looking. could probably set you up with a place to change the tire too. Jason
Hey Brett, I could be in to a Sunday, Monday ride or just Sunday or just Monday...just need to get the bike back together tonight I hope, would like to change my front though too, have a new tkc 80 to put on. Bob

Hey guys, Does anyone know where I could safely park my trailer in pincher creek for the day? it's jsut a little 4x8 enclosed utility trailer, I'd drop it in the AM and pick it up that late afternoon......(This would be most likely on the 25) Thanks for any feedback..... ON a side note, I'm hopefully taking my supermoto to montana to burn through highway 49 to east glacier on the 25.... :) anyone else wanna go to east glacier for some pie?
Super moto racing action at the Vasity speed part, calgarys go kart track at race city, will be running with the AMRA. Free to spectate! Also, CMRA is racing on the big track, but it costs money to watch that....
Tomorrow night, Maclean creek. FREE BEER ALL NIGHT* *not really. I`ll be there for six. Last one of the summer.
Heading out on the bikes with my wife tomorrow and she wants to hit Bragg Creek, Turner Valley or Black Diamond for breakfast. Where does one get a good breakfast in any of those towns? Thanks, Andy
Coyote Moon right on the main drag into Turner Valley is good. Cheap, delicious food and they make their own cheesecake and deserts which are yummy! I was out on the Forestry Trunk Road towards Nordegg yesterday - not a soul around. Perfect!
