Oil Leak Help

Anyone have a leak from here before? If do what did you do? About to get in the fische to figure out what it is, guessing the neutral indicator switch. Thanks fellas.

Answered my own questions, gear position sensor, has a 39 cent o-ring behind it. Aft bolt was a bit loose as well so hopefully that will fix it in itself. Carry on.

I've seen that problem before on here. Easy fix.

This just happened to me. One of my bolts was stripped out. I taped the holes and put in slightly longer bolts.

Don't over tighten those small bolts. Like 6nm.

Had the same problem. Overfilled oil level seems to be the culprit.

Just discovered mine leaking as well. Can I pull it out with out having to drain the oil first?

Another idea, replace those bolts with studs, less likely hood of stripping if they are not going in and out too often.

Just lay the bike on the side. No problem, other than pickin' it back up.

Went ahead and pulled it out while on center stand, leaked some oil but not bad. Soaked o-ring in some ATF for about 20 min. and reinstalled verifing no nicks in the o-ring. Been sitting for about 2 hours and see no more oil leaking, the real test will be getting it up to operating temp and riding it. Somtime this weekend I'll do that, but so far so good.

Its a dry sump setup. Oil tank level has no bearing on the oil level in the engine.
