Great start on your rr. Trying to figure out what road you were riding. Recognized the sign to the Hot Springs.

I have yet to ride North Pass and a bunch of other road in Death Valley.

Looking forward to more, more, more...........

Her 11/25 entry is about being at my house and there are little tabs where you can listen to the full album or go to I-tunes to buy it. She's the real deal.

I had been invited to meet some friends at Saline Valley for Veteran's Day weekend. This was in front of seventeen days that I had already planned for Death Valley. I made my buddies promise to feed me when I got there and put some gas in the bike to help out as this extra trip wasn't in the budget. We made the plans and I started getting ready.

There were a few things that I wanted to do for the XRR before the trip.

The clutch basket and bushing were worn out. New Hinson basket and a factory bushing.








I've had this on my mind...RZ350 chopper.




I've had a new thermostat waiting to go in, it needed it.




I printed out the directions and made my own oil sight tube kit.






I've had this fan sitting here, but with the thermostat stuck open the bike never got hot enough to need it.






I started wiring in new switch gear, but I ran out of time...I don't have blinkers on the bike anyways.




All packed up and ready to go.

I took my usual route to get out of town.




There had been a recent snow storm over Carson Pass, but it was listed as being open. There was about a 12 mile stretch of ice that was really horrible, waving cars around me so they wouldn't drive over me if I fell down.

I'm freezing, found a dirt route to the south of Gardnerville to get to Hwy 395...time for a warm up.




It's been a long cold day and we're almost there.








I saw a street bike with a Husky 610 near here, it looked like they were airing down the tires on the cruise r.




I just might make it before dark.

Excellent, excellent.

I am planning my return for march but after reading this I may have to go sooner.
