Well Infra Just bought up the rest of my Yellow PD stickers, so I guess that means I gotta start working on my next Old's Cool Design Project.

So What would you guys like?
    A Poster?
    A Desktop Background?
    A sticker?
    A T-shirt?
    All four?

What I need from you is a sweet Action Shot of you or your friends riding an Old's Cool bike that you wouldn't mind giving permission to me to make a design out of.

The chosen submission will of course award free merchandise, and possibly a cut of the profits depending on what we do with it.

I found this shot from HPN :

and its high-enough resolution to be used for something, but I'm not sure it's "The One"
Plus I'd have to contact HPN in Germany to get permission from them to use it, which may be an exercise in frustration.

So send your photos to mario@magliozzidesign.com and I can get to work on making another graphic to share with all of you guys.

If you dont have a photo to share, Ideas would be gratefully accepted as well. I'm just looking to see what I can make for you guys.
It's not about the money, its about making something we all can enjoy.

Unfortunately, the image isn't huge because it was grabbed out of video footage, but I still like it. Do what you will with it. (it's mine)

Edit: The bike doesn't look so old school, but it's an '83 two stroke, so I'd consider it old enough.

    Thanks AW, cool pic!

The size and coloring of it made me think of the ADV banner, so I tweaked it a bit...

I'll see what else I can do with it. :freaky

I have a bunch of great shots, Its just that I'm the only oldschooler around here, and I so rarely take good photos of myself. :cry

Hey Guys, Thanks for your replies.

Nah, the photo doesn't have to be in the dirt, but I have a soft spot for good shots with the mud flying.:evil

Why dont we plan on making one dirt-based graphic and one road-based graphic. I'm thinking something with "OLD's Cool" or "OldSchool" as the headline of sorts, then a high contrast action shot with a rider and some retro shapes and lines creating the rest of the graphic. I'll probably get to work on this sometime this weekend and will keep you guys updated.

The most important thing I need is RESOLUTION. (think 2000px wide at least)

Jason, I have seen some awesome shots of you and your bike on your friends smugmug, but those size images are not going to work. If you could possibly contact that photographer and see about getting me the largest possible size, then we would be in business.

    Thanks again guys. :freaky

Hardly. At least not compared to modern 600cc sportbikes.
Is that an SFC? I almost bought one of those new in the mid-70's. The same dealer also sold Kawasaki, and I opted for an H1 triple for about half the price. Still have it, but it hasn't weathered the years well. I shoulda got the Laverda.
