Florida Sand Fleas

ONF is very dry! I was showing off and going through a particularly deep and powdery section at around 8mph. The front carved one way, then the other to the point of steering lock and the inside of my upper thigh made firm contact with the bar end as I was being pitched off. I remember seeing the FMF sticker on the lower fork leg very close to my face, and the tire was still turning. I was thinking oh shit, spokes are bad!

After I got home, it looked like this.

It doesn't hurt that much. The left shoulder and knee have a little muscle soreness, and I bashed my left index finger on something, but its just another bruise. I am thinking of selling the DRZ, I need something lighter if I am going to keep riding in that stuff.

Thinking of taking my 1st ride in ONF at salt springs in the near future. Got a little KTM 2-stroke.

Is this an appropriate time of year to ride there?

It has to be tagged or stay on the Centenial trail. Hunting season is basically over 1/22/2012

KTM 300 sounds pretty good. John or anybody else know how the 300 feels compared to a CRF450X. Just wandering!
