Thank you for the suggestions. I may check out your friend's tour, it looks interesting. As much fun as your rally looks like, I don't think I can fit that kind of a side trip into my schedule. Safe travels!

No problems, we're expecting stormy weather up here in the Pyrenees this week anyway.

You'll have a great time exploring Barcelona - five days hardly does the city justice!

Have a great time!

Thanks. I have secured a bike. I put a deposit on a tiger 800 rental yesterday.

So, do you fancy a ride out?

This was where I was riding today:

The top

The bottom

On the way home

I also have BMW X-Country but I'm awaiting a new front tyre - so if the trails, are wet it's the Beta Alp for me :)

PS -but you have to get me Laia Sanz's autograph

If you are back in the Barcelona area I would love to ride that kind of terrain! Part of the rental agreement is that I am not allowed to cross any boarders.

I would also gladly buy you a front tire and lunches for the loaning of a bike.

Hi Matey,

All this in is Spain - that pass was a 'baby' just 2,000 metres and a long way from crossing the French border! There may be a daily distance limit though - a 'round trip to me would be about 350-400 kms!

The 'high' Pyrenees are still covered in about 3 metres of snow in my area, so the trails up there are right out!

Send me a Pm if you want to ride out my way on roads - they are awesome even for a day trip. Saturday would be a bit difficult but not impossible though.
