Sweet!!!! I've always wanted a Westy....4WD of course Had a vanagon and stupidly sold it. I really am jealous of your dash....If I wouldn't crash so much and bust mine twice a year I might actually copy yours. Nice job!
Hardwaregrrl, have you ever thought about making a bumper to go around your instruments? Maybe mounted to the upper yoke or handle bars or even the lower yoke and the upper yoke?

Thats a guy that Matt RIchards (whose photo it is) rode with. Says hes not good with computers so no social media presence and all.
Yeah, he posted the pic but I don't think the bike is his.? Was on the airheads FB page. I like the bike. Remindms me of box of hammers.
Yeah no I know its not Matts, but some gentleman he rode with recently, at one of those cool events. HE said the guy could ride it well, too! RM front end, and 100mm rear extention. Said the brakes were too small for it, but otherwise rode well. It does have a rather dapper look to it, dunnit?
nice bike, but looks better dirty, with chunky knobblies and leaning on a tree btw- this thread has been too quiet lately hopefully people will post up some recent airhead dirtbike builds
Don't you know Caff Bikes are in now? oser And I didn't catch the "GS" detail--pretty neat, except it's a bastard, like most of ours! I want to name mine a R90M/S. What it was + Motorrad/Schmutz. Schmutz, rhymes with putz.
Wow...so this guy took a class at Barber here in Alabama where this pic was taken....and he also rides around AUS???
Ah-ha! bugger....guess the pic I grabbed was during a course on the Barber property hosted by Porsche. I guess he figured out a rear fender may keep his undies a bit cleaner.
I've been lurking on this thread for about a year now. Lots of inspiring photos and ideas. It's been dormant for a bit. Luckily I just got my old R100GS-PD back on the road while she is going through a transformation from stoogey-old-man-BMW to old-made-new GS Dirt Bike. This is her current state. Next posts down will show the original photos and some of the work in progress. The to-do list is long, starting with new electrical and charging systems from Motorrad Elecktric, cutting down the rear subframe, dropping the cat for a 2-into-1 and a new exhaust.
