640 dies if jostled around?

    OK, got it back together, and amazingly it ran! And well, too.

    I eliminated the kickstand switch by plugging the two harness leads together there. Tomorrow I'll test to see if that was the original problem all along... :(:

    I didn't really understand the instructions for setting the float height, but I guessed and poked and prodded. The whole thing vibrates a lot less now, especially at low RPM when opening the throttle.

    If only I could tell if it was actually tuned correctly...

    The one downside is that I ended up with zero play in the throttle. It's a bit too "abrupt" for me; I'll have to read up on how to set that properly (it seems like there's 3 or 4 adjustment points).

    Oh, yeah, that's what I mean by " ran well". It seems to not do it anymore, nor stall out under heavy braking.
    Now to fix all the other little stuff (throttle play, mirrors, headlight aiming , neutral light, crumbling fuel line)...
