Ted, I will be back from the inlaws late Thusday because Martha works this weekend. I'd be up for a ride again. I want to ride the rest of our route from Saturday in reverse, go to the the Erbie road then change the route home if you're up for that?
Cool Charlie I'll keep you posted if we can swing it. We almost finished the route, I took a wrong turn and we ended up in Kingston again. The other guys slabbed it for home and the wifey wanted to finish the route so we hopped back on it. Near Huntsville we decided to head for home as it was getting dark and cold!
Yeah, I was working hard to try to keep up with Shelley. She can flat ride. Then after lunch I got behind teddly, and I didn't want him to get any ideas following him too closely! Actually, watching ted ride up the relatively rough sections either with one hand (taking pictures) or doing wheelies was depressing....made me feel like a kid struggling with a tricycle!
My "keeping up" is within a mile. MOST of my helmet cam pictures show me on an empty road...which, actually, is quite nice. Terrorscoot was in my back pocket all day...he must like my butt. :eek1
You dont give yourself nearly enough credit. It's all about having fun and getting home safe. I still want one of those purty bikes like yours. I like my DR but she is still a wallowing pig. Shelley did ride well, she scares me a bit on the pavement as she really has no fear.
I just sent the group an email with a couple of alternatives for a ride on Saturday. Doc you got it too.
these guys are actually quite good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MoOJB1uzpdw
You probably need to reroute to Fs-1425A just past Catalpa there where you cross the creek and go thru the gate. That is a fun ride. That is the road we rode on the Shores Lake Camping Event. We were going the other direction tho. I've ridden it both ways. I think there are some issues on Fs-1409 where you turn off of Hwy 21 just south of Ozone. I believe that is the road west of Murrys Creek that Bo was riding when he ran into the lost dude. I have emailed him to verify but if I am correct, he said it was pretty remote and rough. Quite a bit of bushwacking if I remember correctly. I will let you know his response.
Chucky hasn't had a single days experience as a NCAA head coach and people think he's the second coming of Bear Bryant. Totally unwarranted. I'd much rather have a proven HC.
Got a question. Do any of you use Firefox browser? If so, have you had any issues with it crashing while using this website? I use Firefox on all of my computers and usually without any problems. However, I bought a new laptop and when I come to the ADV website it crashes after trying to scroll through the pages. Any help would be appreciated.
