I'm bolting some crash bars to our travel bikes. Was wondering what people are using for bags to strap onto the bars?
Looking to hold cooking gear, food, etc in them.

I bought some off an ADV vendor. Well made, fairly well priced.

They strap on with Velcro/hook and loop only.

Have taken "several" spills and they haven't fallen off.

Seen some folks use small MOLLE pouches. Doubt they are waterproof, but you could line them with a syl-nylon drybag.

I've used atv tank bags that come with side bags velcroed together. Not waterproof but 9 bucks.

+1. I just got a set in for my 2007 Vstrom and the Givi crash bars. Fit is perfect, looks like they will last for some time.

Thanks for the Wolfman pic. We've got a few of their bags; a couple Betas and a tank bag. It's great stuff. Once I get the bars mounted on the SMT, I'll see if the Wolfies or one of the others mentioned here will work. The other bike I'm looking for is a CB500X.

I use the Giant Loop Possibles Pouches either side for spare tubes and lashed on with Pronghorn Straps (brilliant straps). -It means they're always with the bike if I'm just out for a day trip and don't have to worry about remembering to swap them over from my touring kit.

Finally have crash bars on both bikes. (CB500X & 990SMT)
Looking forward to finding something awesome.
I've become fond of the Molle idea.

How big of a bag are you looking for?
Is something like this bag on this Transalp's engine guard too small? (it has some wiggle room for expansion)

Just need enough rooms for tools, cook stuff, food, chain lube/oil. (We will have 4 bags to stuff.)

Found some MOLLE bags. Used hose clamps to fix them to the bars.

If you're in the Calgary Area, I picked them up at Crown Surplus and Tactical. One of the guys there, Paul, has an old Enfield and will talk about bikes with you.
