The AFX FX-39 shields are exactly the same, and are widely available in light smoke, dark smoke, and mirror.

Reviving from the dead. Ordered the Fly and will be returning it due to a few issues...

    1. The neck strap sits right above the Adam's apple for me
    2. Medium fit is tight enough to give me a solid headache
    3. Lens stays loose
    4. Way too much airflow in the eyes (killin my contacts)
    5. Sun shield lifts head all over the place at less than 60mph
    6. No quick way to take lens off for cleaning/dust

I was hoping to be able to use this on the TAT, but its looking more and more like I'll just be using my MX helmet, though I really don't want to.

Which model? I was looking at the AX8, but Revzilla was out of stock (cheapest price around at 229$)

Have a Fly Trekker, bought it for my trip to Vietnam last fall. Find that its one of the most comfortable I have owned and definitely the best value in a helmet. Was going to by a new street helmet but it works really we while riding my connie, so I think will just keep using it.

So if it fits your head, its a good choice. Some of the concerns that have been mention here are valid. Little funky with sunglasses, but that is easy top get use to. The visor is either an open or closed the first detent is right in the middle of my vision. But this is minor for me, for others it might be a problem. But for the money its hard to complain.

Does anyone leave their neck strap kind of loose on Fly? I can't figure out how this thing wouldn't choke EVERYONE that put this on.

I just got the AFX39 in medium and its going back....way too tight...as one poster put it, my nose hits the front of the helmet. Exchanging it for a large. Hopefully that will work out better.

Don't go by their size chart...by their chart I fit clearly in the medium range but it was ridiculously tight.

I've got 2 other helmets, used 2 others extensively and also used an fx-39 and nothing was close to this for the neck strap...might exchange it for the 39

Anyone experiencing lots of vibrations with theirs. Great value but kinda noisy at highway speeds.

Yes I also experience weird sunglasses fit with it as well.

I also thought is was a little noisy on the road...

The visor adjustment does not allow the visor to adjust down enough so I made an "extender" so it lowered at least another inch in the front...this helped considerably...a "little" for quiet & no more lift...

Anyone want a Medium black one for 100$? Revzilla refused to let me return it because I admitted to trying it out around the block. I can get some photos when it gets back to my house from them.

WOW maybe I just got a bad visor but I feel like my eyes are about to pop out of my head. If I look at the visor in sunlight the whole thing looks hazy. I really like the helmet otherwise. Very good airflow and nice liner.

Does anyone know if the MSR Epedition is like the AFX or the Fly, or different than both?
