Like some men before me I decided to follow a pretty girl across the country, from small town Ohio to the east coast. After the essentials like a job and a place to sleep the next thing on my list was getting my bike to Boston. Finding the practicality of getting an aged CB750 to Boston anytime soon and trusting it to take me thousands of miles without a shop to work in was hard accept. This left me to pursue my true desire, finding a Tiger to take me on my adventures.

These are my travels, new city, new bike, new life. Time to Discover.

With one failed attempt to get out the city only leaving me in Southern New Hampshire stuck in lines of cars. My next move was to head farther North to the White Mountains. Here's what I found....

Nice big curve on a big hill/mountain

Crazy people doing over 40mph on 1 inch wide tires in spandex with more crazy people in cars making it challenging. Kudos to them though give me something with a motor.

After a somewhat white knuckle ride to the top of Mount Washington because cars don't care about a guy on a cliff on a bike. When they are coasting down in the middle of the one lane road. Didn't help my suspension was setup for two up and it was hard to keep traction over ruts in the dirt section. I made it to the top.

It felt to good up there.....Nice and cool.

Good views too, I got lucky with a mostly clear weather at the top.

Would really like to see this building when it is being held down by the chains. Have to say its the first time I seen anything like it.

    Heading back down the Mountain...

If you're looking for a place to stay Timberland Campground will take good care of ya. The guy who owns it is a fellow inmate and he takes good care of riders.

Got this idea from another Inmate.

I really wasn't even looking for covered bridges at this point they just kept showing up. Every time I see one I just think of the scene in Funny Farm and termites holding hands.

    Another one...

Nice report. I just did a 3 day trip thru Maine and New Hampshire. NH is a beautiful state, great roads, scenery, and no tax. Mt Washington was the highlight of our trip.

Thanks for the great report. We're starting a 10 day ride tomorrow morning, heading for VT, NH and Maine. The White Mountain area is on the menu, and seeing your pics has me stoked. Looks like Timberland campground will be the place to spend a night.

Welcome to New England Sir Waffles! You'll have a good life here. I arrived in 1990 from Monterey CA and stayed. Great sports town and lots of interesting sights. Terrific motorcycling of all types and disciplines.

Congrats on your Tigger too. Very nice machine for touring New England and parts beyond.

You'll want to get to know Vermont and Upstate NY too. Fort Ticondroga, Lake George, Burlington, Bennington and Highway 100. Maybe even try the puppy dog trail on your nice bike. After that you should visit the timber country in Maine. Camp on the big lake up there and maybe hit the lobster ports on the way home to Salem.

Lots to see, but the season is short. Takes some planning.

Thought I would head to Maine on my next trip but all these other ideas are making it hard to choose......so little time. Also next time I'm out by the White Mountains I'm gonna have to check out Hurricane Road and a few others on http://www.motorcycleroads.us, looks like a good site.

Thanks, I like the coast but so far the riding has been a bit slow for my taste.

ya, I'm a dual sporter so I can't help you much there. I suspect you'll want to head back towards the mountains.

I just did almost the same route you did when I was out last week. Didn't do Mount Washington this year. 320mi in a day. Looking at Vermont next month on the Tiger. Great riding in the Green Mountains..
