I'll post up info about trails and roads in central Colorado, just like I did last year. I'll update post #1 as info becomes available.

Wow, you stay up late for an old fart, I mean old smart guy. Was that you who rode past us bicyclers on 7th st hill yesterday about 6ish? Did you get up rd 210 past my turn-around, where I jumped the little log? Can't wait till I can go out following you again. I met Roy, who rides a 290 Sherco, sweet bike.

The 4mile area Rick mentions is east of BV, the Gunnison/Taylor Park area generally is not open until early June, but we've had a lot of snow this year so it may take a while, so some of the real high stuff may even be later this year.

There are a gazillion threads about the Moab (Arches/Canyonlands) area. Search Moab 101 and pretty much all you need to know.

    Rick,

We'll be watching your post of when it looks like we can get in there to start clearing trail. We will clear the Sargents area again from Fair View, Fossil Ridge area on the North to Lujan Pass area on the South and Crest Trail area to the East to North Gulch Trail area to the West. Can't wait to get in there, but looks like 1st part of June again. We'll let the Forest Service or Mike with Exit Tours clear Greens Creek.:clap

All of the upper trails on the wellsville/howard sand gulch loop are still closed with snow.
Can't get through to Elk Ranch yet.

As Rick noted, the lower loop route is open.

Kerr Gulch road is closed due to a snow bank just below tower hill.
However, the west Rainbow Trail access is open.
Made it 1/4 mile west on RT and about 3/4 mile east on RT.
Blocked by snow on NW hills of course.

About another mile down the trail, before reaching the turnoff for Rainbow Camp, there was impassable snow. So the furthest-south section of single-track trail is open, but you can't get to it from Rainbow Camp just yet. Give it a few days, say by Friday, and it should be passable.

    Thanks Dave.

Rainbow from Bear Creek to Sand Gulch is ready to rock! I would assume all the way to 285 also but I didn't go that far.

Huge thanks to whoever is doing the trail clearing! Lots of freshly cut timber no longer blocking the trail.
