It is time to start the ride report. I'm almost ready to go. It all started last year when we were talking about "dream" rides as we crossed the Trans Labrador.
    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=766142

I said my dream ride was to go from my place in Shediac, NB to Argentina

I had never ridden my KLR all that far so I did a test trip, Key West to Shediac

    http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=780191

Then I mentioned the dream trip to my wonderful wife, Angele

And she said "Why don't you go?"

Wow! Talk about a question that shifted a dream into reality.

Here's the route. Nothing high tech about this trip, yarn on an atlas!

Somehow we missed a picture of one or two but there were even more friends who showed! Great to have so many good friends.!!!!!
So now that we've had the going away party. I "have" to go.:deal

I plan on departing soon. My bike's ready and I'm almost ready. So many little details to look after.

I figure I'll be on the road by OCT 15th. depending on weather. I'm hoping for a stretch of dry weather along the eastern seaboard so I can get down to warmer climes. But I've got to get out of here soon before we get this.[IMG]

I'm always on the lookout for fellow travellers heading south K. I'll be watching your progress. I am sticking to the coast mostly for this part of my trip but if I see your close, we'll have coffee. Word of advice? Skip New York. :evil

Thanks for the tip about NY. I see you're headed for the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's awesome. I rode it and the Shenadoah Skyline Drive, northbound, earlier this year and I intend to stay away from the big cities and ride the Parkway again.

We'll have to try and have that coffee. I hope to hit the road later this week.

    stay tuned.......

This weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada. I have much to be thankful for. We had Family and Friends over on Sunday for dinner and Monday went for a drive to see the Fall Foliage which is at it's peak here in Southeastern NB

Angele, rarely comes with me on my KLR, she's smart! But she likes to go for a ride in my other toy. This will be the last drive this year for my car, I got a bargain on this 2004 with low miles a couple years ago in West Palm Beach

For those of you that don't live in an area where the leaves change, here are a few pictures. Our longer, northern, nights and cool evenings are making for an outstanding show this year.

And for those of you that are into photography, you'll know that sometimes good photos are happy accidents. I made this one, I call "Steel" while getting in and out of the car.
