Ride in paradise Kev! Such a great voice in our culture. I consulted his writings before every bike purchase, and considered his opinions to be amongst the best and most accurate on new machines. Cheers Mate.

    Oh man that sucks.

I never took a review seriously until I saw the bike on his blog.

There was some discussion in the Oilhead forum. This is sad, sad day. As an American, I read very little from the UK, with exception of the occasional BBC news story, Top Gear, and Kevin Ash's reviews.

To be honest (and I hope this doesn't make me a bad person), I am interested in how it happened.

    Shocked to hear this.

My thoughts are with his friends and family.

    RIP Kev.

Whenever we lose a fellow rider, it takes a piece of us.
R.I.P., Kevin. I always enjoyed your work. May your family find the strength to deal with your untimely loss.

Personally I don't think it makes you a bad person. He was a good accomplished rider, way better than me and possibly others here too. I don't think he'd take any unusual or extreme risks, too professional and experienced, I am also interested in how it happened.

Just a heads-up that there is a 150-plus post thread running at Kevin Ash's website ashonbikes.com, which his wife and daughters are reading. Encourage anybody wishing to express appreciation to post there. :cry And yes, thank you Kev.
