Haydays last weekend (Official kickoff for winter snowmobiling), and a new sled in the garage. Reports coming in of snow on the peaks of the mountains. Leaves are changing colors.

Hopefully this year will be better than last year.

Didn't sell as much as I wanted to, but did get rid of some of some 900 parts. About 1400 I slapped a "Free!" sticker on the bulkhead, and an hour later someone took it home. :lol3 I think I got a better deal than they did. :rofl

'12 Pro-RMK 800, 155". A *LOT* lighter than the 900. Shouldn't have to pull this one apart every year to replace motor mounts and bulkhead braces. :doh

When I rode from Kansas City to Halifax back in '04, it was interesting to note the change in toys in the yards along the way. Down here it's boats. Going through IL, IN, and OH, it transitioned to ATVs. Once I got up to NY, MA, and NH, it was snowmobiles.

I needed to be in Halifax, so I slabbed it. I took a right at Erie and ran I-86/88/90 across to Worcester, MA. It was my first long bike trip (and I still had the stock saddle), so it took me three days instead of two.

:clap hopefully that means we'll have a good year this year in the Rockies. It's no joke been T-Shirt weather here since mid MARCH! That's when I traded off my old Edge RMK for a Jeep and I drove the Jeep home with no top and in a T-Shirt.

I'm ready for the snow to hit the mountains.

I can't beleive that as much as I LOVE motorcycles, that I have NEVER been moved to buy a snowmobile. I have never even wanted to ride one but once when a buddy asked me to ride his I did. It was fun but didn't make me want to buy one. I guess if it was as trick and as fast as some I would have been moved to buy one. It was a stock Ski Doo and had to be twenty years ago.

Might be time to give it another try.

Sleds today are -nothing- like they were 20 years ago.
    Or even 10 years ago.

Its so when you fall of the back your arm doesnt get sucked in and ripped off... Oh, wait that happened. :norton.

Longer track= more flotation and traction in deep snow, worse turning radius unless you know what youre doing. It IS a blast, whish I could afford to do it!
