I've owned Garmin devices for a few years now...the GPSMAP variety. I've never spent more than five minutes though trying to learn how to actually use one. They go with me every where. My Xterra and boat have hard wired mounts (bike-less at the moment) and I have in the most basic...knuckle dragging manner been able to use them but over the last couple months i've really dug in and have been unlearning my way and learning the right way. I knew all along I was only scratching the surface of what the devices were capable of. So the last few weeks i've gotten pretty handy (no more knuckle dragging but not fully upright) at building routes with BaseCamp and transferring them into my unit. I've also been playing around with Google Earth and thats when I started to really get into things. I had to back up a few updates I think but this is where I have been playing around and while doing so started to learn the multiple ways that the info can be shared ie...GPX.files etc...etc...etc...
Stick with me here please I'm getting to the point I promise. So reading and Learning...Reading and learning...about the CORRECT way to do stuff I wondered back into this forum and started poking around and playing with Y'alls files and I kept seeing CannonTracks, which I assumed was just another way to store and share routes and all the other stuff just like a GPX.Files. I moved along figuring I'd read about or come to the point where I needed to learn how to use or at least what the difference was with these Cannon.Tracks. Of course that never happened as they are not file's or file sharing methods but they are in fact an actual person.
I'm serious...and as embarrassing as it is its the truth! I kept thinking to myself. "What is the deal with all these CannonTracs I keep seeing and why have i seen no mention of them anywhere else"
Just another Tuesday morning and great example of the circus that is constantly happening between my ears.

Hi Cannonshot...very nice work.
I am headed there in a few weeks. Me and a friend are bringing out street bikes...I'm also bringing a 650GS for some off road work and he has a 4 wheeler, no off road bike....which of these area's would be a good start for off roading with a four wheeler? BBSP will not let it ride because it doesn't have a license plate.

What track of those you showed on your report did you run into those guys on 4 wheelers? Maybe that would be the place.
