Just discovered that i'm going to be at the F1 race in Austin, and can pick my tickets, within reason.

Where is a good place to watch the race from, I've not been to COTA yet, and have no idea what/where to watch from?

Sat at the apex of turn 12 last year. It was a fantastic view of 1/2 the back straight, turn 12, 13, 14 and 15. You can also see across the track to turn 1 and the run back down the hill. Lots of action at turn 12 as that is the main deceleration zone. Unbelievably close to the track.

Last year there was two different pricing set ups with the lower half being more expensive. That grandstand is so close to the track there is no need to pay the higher price.

    Enjoy the race!

P.S. Last year there was a Belgium Waffle food truck at the top of the hill beside the main concert stage, or at the base of the tower. If it is still there I highly recommend, they are very good.
