The other day one of the mega dealers in the Atlanta area was having a tent sale. They had a '13 FJR for $12,500. I'm not in the market for a new bike but I was pretty tempted by that price.
You are right, I like the grey ones as they blend with roadway and the billions of other grey cars, and don't forget the fog, best blend ever.
Funny you would say that, as I'm editing it this weekend. 35 minutes down to, say 6 minutes, will be a challenge as to what to leave out. I've done 2 so far, one of the BRP and one of RT. 151 leading up to the BRP. Man, I miss those roads!
Well on my second FJR, and I still have my first. Guess that makes me a slut. Me and my gf running the dragon at EOM (She'd never even heard of it).
Can any FJR owners who have also owned a ST-1300/Pan European comment on how the FJR mirrors compare with the ST/Pan mirrors. The expansive view of the mirrors on my Pan is one of the best things about the bike
Not as good as my Gen I with FZ-1 mirrors, better than my Aprilia. Not sure that's a compliment? The cops around here that ride STs hate the mirrors on those things and usually put handlebar mirrors on, covering the OEM mirrors with 3" blindspot mirrors.
So there are some smoking deals on new( 2014) FJR's and some have the non-adjustable suspension and are in the 12k price range. A lot of bike for that money. Question is why are the suspension components on the FJR "A" versions? The Yamaha site does not even describe the manufacture ( Showa, WP etc). I did not think they were even bringing the non ES versions here but the dealer here in Phoenix has one. It's red so we know it's a 2014. Did they change the stock suspension from 2012-2014? Most reviews say to put down the extra cash for the ES but it's not an active system and I just want to know how much better the ES is from the FJR A version? Unless the kid salesman was mistaken but he insisted it was a non-ES version. I think the sticker was 15,800 and new price was 12,999.
