Some food I had on a vacation to Turkey.

Long skinny pizza, a popular lunch in Turkey. (I forget the Turkish name.)

Turkish Meatballs, although they rarely come in the shape of a ball

    And why not!

Floyd Virginia just west off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I try to get down and ride in this part of the world at least once a year. My taste buds have determined that no trip is complete without at least one offering of Biscuits, Gravy,Eggs and Grits. I remember at least three occasions on this last scoot but these seem to be the only pics. Must have been impatient or something?

    Meet the "Mighty Burger"

Apparently made from at least five cows and cooked to a medium-rare perfection.

Can be found about 20 minutes out of a small town called "Bala" in Wales, UK.

The "mighty burger" for which said five cows gladly gave their lives was one of the best lunch breaks on that trip.

How do you call these pear-shaped tea glasses? When I was stationed near the Turkish/Iranian border in the army, the locals used to refer to them as " armudu " ( derived from armyd that meant a pear if I remember correctly ), but they spoke Azerbaijani rather than Farsi.

Do post more on your rides, pls pls pls! Riding Iran's becoming one of my obsessions. If I only knew where to rent a bike there I would m. probably have done it already.
