Thanks for the tip on Roads and Recreation. ( copy files from disk to folder and install from folder to keep from having to put disk in each time). So my question is will TOPO USA 2008 do the same? Thanks in advance.

Can't speak to the 08 but earlier versions did. They came on 3 CDs so I copied all to the same folder before running setup. At some point Garmin wised up and setup copied the data to the computer, not sure when.

It worked. Copied files from DVD to a folder on my computer ( about 2.7gb) then installed TOPO 2008 from there. Worked like a champ. No need for disk now
