Here's some pics of my new XCountry. Got it on Saturday morning, and immediately took it to the country! I have to say, SO much better than my XT660 on the rough stuff! The handling is superb, mostly due to the less weight and lower centre of gravity, and of course the Conti TKC's fitted!

I removed the mirrors and tail section just in case I went down, which luckily never happened! I have to say my friend on his much lighter XR 250 went down once. I had him ride in front so that I could plan my route better! ;) I'm also getting a custom alluminium bashplate later this week, will post some pics later.

Anyway, I really love this bike! A blast on the road (even with the knobblies) and real fun on the sandy/rocky/muddy stuff. And the wife loves it too!

PS. How do you embed multiple images in the post, without attaching?

Installation was easy, just drill 3 holes, get some mounting hardware from the store and there you have it.:freaky

it is ALOT more stable than i thought it would be.... i had to trial and error with mounting to get it just right... at highway speeds when it is cold out, i can lean a little forward and it takes a bit of the wind off me. makes it a bit more bearable when i'm riding to work at 4 am. cant beat the price. the BMW version was just too much $. plus another $120 for mounting hardware. crazy!

Sweet! :thumbup How many miles did you cover and in how many days? Look like a fairly sized load you got there, what all did you bring?

Glad I found this thread. I saw one at the dealer last fall and really liked it. Thought it was a bit expensive though. Now that I see that the price has been reduced I'm going to reconsider. Good stuff keep it coming.
