Well I'd like to make my own way too, but to do it on someone else's dime, well that's tempting. Nah. I can't leave the kids with their mother that long. I'd inevitably come home to some grim scene

Don't try to apply if you have an Apple computer. It won't upload after you wrote out the application. I will do it again from my inferior Windows machene. People need to understand that your giving the BMW marketing people a lot of information about you. Facebook page, age, interests. You can expect they are going to use the info to try to get you to buy things. I am too old to care. Dave
I applied, think it would be great fun. Only trouble is that when I win I think I have to pay taxes on the value of the trip. I won a weeks vacation once for a $25 ticket. Nice vacation, Taxes were $3000. No such thing as a free lunch. I selected New Zealand. That will be big $ on taxes. Might have to pass if I win.
No problems from my iMac (snow leopard) Did have an issue with pictures overlapping text; change safari settings to only increase text size with zoom, problem solved. Good luck to all, and for the love of god, stop spreading the word!!!!
No taxes on winnings if you're Canadian!!! I guess that's a small consolation prize for getting taxed to death on everything else...
I don't think the winners have been announced yet. The website states that "Rider Selection in Process". I'm still hopeful.
I think they decided on Nov 30th. I know Charlie Boorman sent out a tweet a few days later saying that he was about to go meet with the other judges to decide on the finalists. Maybe they know but haven't announced. I hope you're right! But apparently my effort to make myself sound cool in the essay didn't work.
