Which HID kit and headlight housing is this? I just install the Rigid LED fogs on mine and want to convert the headlight to HID. Looks great!

Installed my Zumo with touratech locking mount!

I see the gromets and screws that hold the windscreen on is still a pain in the butt, lining those up and finishing that last part almost took as long as the rest of the job :lol3

Well today I decided to fit the BajaDesigns Squadron LED's. on my 990R

Gotta say superb quality you get exactly what you pay for.

Only downside is the fitting instructions are backwards! They tell you to mount the LED's on brackets supplied to the fairing bolts then you find you've gotta take them off to remove the fairing! First thing you must do is bin the instructions.

The power wires could do with both being 2 inches longer but I managed.

    The result:

I flushed the coolant...which requires taking off one tank and the stupid crash bars...seriously fuck the crash bars...that was the worst part of everything was getting that stupid thing back on.

Bought a sheepskin seat cover off craigslist. It's for saddles but works great for the seat.

I'd kinda lost my mojo a bit of late, I've only ridden the bike once since returning from Morocco last October. Got busy in the garage the other day though :)

I replaced front pads, fitted a new rear shock guard (as the tyre had worn through the old one!) and swapped my off road wheels for the road ones. Then went to work on it.

That's the HID kit from DDM tuning. Those are 5k bulbs. I tried 3k, but found them far too yellow. 5k is a bit blue, so I would suggest trying the 4.5k temperature.

I used the stock headlight housing. It seems to work pretty well. No doubt that a bigger reflector would improve performance. I would be tempted to try the Euro housing with an H4 bulb on the high setting.

FedX brought my ScottOiler kit today. :clap I'm going to install it before a long Utah trip that starts on Thursday. Looking forward to no longer having to oil the chain. I already ran the vacuum line when I had the bike apart last time, so installation should be pretty simple. I'm going to put the oiler in the tool compartment under the seat.
