The 2012 league is now open for signups and the invites have gone to all the players from last year. Now, who's drafting P Manning in the first round? ************* To Join Up: JoMomma Fantasy Football 2012 Information for the hard way: League ID#: 10418 Password: 205
I'd be willing to run a live draft this year. The good thing is for all the managers who can't be there it'll use the same pre-draft selection list we've been using every year. The bad thing is it all happens in one sitting unless you actually are talking about doing a *manual* draft (that's where all the teams pick their players and then the commissioner gets to enter the teams manually into the system) I don't get paid enough to do a manual draft.:huh Since there's no real negative I'll go ahead and change it to a live draft but we'll still wait until after the 3rd preseason game to draft.
I'm aiming to at least duplicate my results from last year. Go in as a #1 seed and lose in the first round.
We have an odd number of teams right now; for a head-to-head league we need an even number, otherwise one of the heads won't have another head to pound. Besides, who wouldn't want a crack at defeating last year's champion?
The Draft will be Wednesday August 29 @ 6pm PDT. It will be a live draft but if you can't make it your electronic assistant can hand in your Pre-draft rankings and your team will draft off of that. If you're too busy to even make your own list the default Yahoo list will be used to make your team.
Fack. I wasn't able to make the live draft, either. Sometimes having little kids can be a pain. Good thing about a small league is that a lot of good players are still left.
I just looked at my team. I think I did better with the automatic rankings than if I picked myself, with a couple exceptions.
I think I missed the first 13 rounds. Last night I watched the Compton High School freshman B team play. That's right. Middle aged, white guy from the Midwest watching a night game in Compton, CA. Everyone thought I was a scout. I didn't discourage that thought. Tons of talented players, even for a freshman B team. A cop I was near mentioned that most of those players will end up in jail before they have a chance at the varsity squad. The team had just 3 coaches. Makes you wonder how many fantastic players never make it because they can't rise above their surroundings.
