Took mine out in the snow last nite, did good in the deeper stuff than the hardpack left by the plows. Tons of fun

LIttle ongoing project. Finally got the paint sorted and some Hagon shocks on... apart from the tyres and tubes still on the shelf I think this'll do for now :)

Here's a couple of mine.
First up, 1979 TF185 Ag bike. Mechanical restoration, but havent touched to cosmetics. All set for a 2000km charity ride starting tomorrow;

And a 1980 TS185 ER I got for 50 bucks. It was going to be spares, but its fairly complete and the engine turns over ok so it might get restored, maybe...

I think I have a cherry TS125 service manual if anyone needs it for a rebuild thread.

I had a 185 for a while but I hardly rode it because it did nothing for me and I ended up giving it away.

Had a 75 TS125 for a while, rode it to work through some trails for a while.

It surprised the hell out of me for such an old bike, that had sat for six months after being submerged under muddy water for a week after the shed got flooded.

Took it out riding once with a guy on a DT200 and his father on a DR350 and they were getting annoyed that they couldn't keep up in the tighter stuff and through a sandy whooped out section.

They did blow me away on the straights though.

Gave it to a mate who said he wanted it for his son, found out a while later he ripped the engine out of it for a go cart that never happened, I was seriously pissed about that.

And now a couple of months ago I did a stupid thing on eBay.

What the hell am I going to do with a TS50.

I have put a new piston in it, and stupid me got it from the UK where they have the aircooled TS and mine is the water cooled one, it seemed to fit ok, but about 30 seconds into getting it started, the piston crown separated at the top ring.

So I just re-ringed the old piston, and now I find that the PO has geared it way to high and it can't pull it.

So I'm up for new chain and sprockets, and then I still don't know what I'm doing with it.

Thumb More specialist help with TS etc here:

Hi guys. Nice to see the appreciation of these of bikes here. I run http://www.suzukits.com and we are a happy band over there if anyone needs some specialist advice on their old two-smokes. I have two TS185ERs (2003,2004) and a TS50J (1972). My main ride is a F650GS.

Cheers

Nigel in NZ

My 1980 TS 125

New to me in May 2007 with 661 miles on the clock!

Still going strong in late 2012

Love my TS! Wish it was a 185 or 250 but it does what I need it to do!

i used to have a ts 50 =] well 2

in the uk it is aircooled and so restricted it does 30mph tops, i was trying to import a ts80 water cooled from Germany for the engine but that fell throw.

so i wiped on a 70cc big bore imported a race exhaust heheeh

i loved it to bits then when upgrade time came wanted a ts125r but they are quite rare in the uk and i couldn't find one so ended up with a dt 125

my next bike will be a ts200 or a dt 200 not made my mind up yet but it will be a 200 smoker =]
