Jorge, actually the black is the bottom half of my homemade windshield. Painted it that way because I didn't much care for the way the suzuki dash looked. By the way nice pics and I was curious as to what kind of old airplane that is in the photo.

    Very nice.

    This thread belongs on top...

    And an addition, possibly undeserving...

If it makes you feel better, I have the matte black one and wanted burgandy. Only the dealer was selling the black one for 600 Euro less because it had been registered (though not ridden) and I figured for that kind of cash difference, I could live without my first colour choice.

Do I understand things correctly in that the Aussie K7's are sans ABS? There are always people who don't want/need it but after doing the skills part of the test to get my Canadian licence recognized in Germany on a nice wet, leaf covered parking lot, I was sold on ABS.

Preferrably with as much electronic stuff crammed between me and the road as possible. Oh wait, this isn't GSpot...:lol3

    Hi All-

I'm new to the site and thought I'd toss in a pic of my camp trip through Carrizo Plain in Central California. Hopefully the pic will actually come through. Great to see that the Vstrom gets such good coverage here - well deserved!

Any Strommers going to be at the Death Valley ride next weekend? I'm tagging along with a 1000, hope we're not the only ones!

I'm a strommer going to DVDAZE, however this time I'll be on my Husky TE610. Here's a link to what my Strom saw there last year:

BTW - saw your location as Santa Paula. Funny, I graduated HS there in '73.

Have fun and see you in DV.

TKCs, bash plates and more ground clearance would have made a world of difference.
