I camped at the Goldrush. The ground is like driving tent pegs into your concrete driveway. If I don't stay in a room I'm staying in the campground right before the ferry on the other side of the river from Dawson. Solo KLR is staying there. We are going up to Inuvik after D2D.

As for bags for your CBR, Givi make hard cases and mounts for it.

    Great photo, Tom.

More D2D info for those interested:

Many of us enjoy hanging around the campfire Wed night at http://thompsonseaglesclaw.com/ in Tok.

The photo below was taken at about 4am

And then most of us who camp in Dawson City stay at http://www.goldrushcampground.com/

I'm excited to again hang with the 100+ locals atop The Midnight Dome late into the Solstice night following The Biker Games. Fun!

What does it mean to bloviate. You use these big words. Can't wait to do it again next year. Going up to Inuvik afterwards in 13.

As Gusgus once said to me, "Been there, done that." Finally.

My trip to Inuvik was way back in 1988. It was tough..... we flew up there in a Canadian Forces C-130 drinking Champagne as we crossed the Arctic Circle. Don't remember whether or not that church was there or not, but if it was I can guarantee you that I didn't go inside.

Yes. I rode straight through coming home last year. I left Dawson about 8am and got here about 1700. Thats with my little refueling problem shortly followed by a mouthfull of diesel from the end of a hose and couple extra stops to include a friendly conversation with a state trooper. Lucky for me I was to fast for him to lock me on radar. So I plan on leaving around 0700. You are welcome to ride along. So far SoloKLR and a couple of his buddies are coming along.

When I ran up the Dempster a few weeks later I found that cruising up in a day was easy and maybe doing that now on so I can get more drinking in. :deal

This is obviously ThatGuy's way of standing-up, waving his arms above his head and yelling, "Me,me, pick me!!!!", in anticipation of being selected to place a numbered sticker on every motorcycle at D2D 2013-2023.:poser
