Shame that Hayden's Ducati testing was such a washout. Maybe they should plan some track time over here in our desert southwest. Lots of tracks, though not all are MotoGP level. Still, it would beat sitting in the garage watching the rain fall.

I was wondering if Nick and Vale shouldn't be practicing on some old Ducati SBKs. They are very long at the front and chronically understeer. The GP12.... should feel awesome after riding a couple of those old SBKs.

Is AMG still a sponsor of the 2012 factory Ducati team? This could get interesting with the Audi purchase...

That sucks. I liked the irony of AMG giving Audi money.

Kind of a neat Nicky Hayden interview. It is in Italian but Nicky speaks (mostly) English.

In the modern era of 4-stroke MotoGP, this is the Hayden lesson. In 2006 Nicky complained frequently to Honda that the clutch was crap, while Honda insisted that they couldn't find any problem with it- because the test rider wasn't pushing as hard as Nicky and so never encountered the issue. (Dani never had problems because Dani was using a different setup- Nicky having already been relegated to developing parts for the 800.)

Gee, Nick has really matured. He's become a good spokesperson and much more articulate in responding to the media. He must've had some really good training in recent years. Bravo!

Still needs about seven tenths, though. Hopefully he finds it in Jerez.

Two days until the next round. Spring is in the air, and I thought I'd post a video we've all seen a dozen times....
