Am i correct?? It is off a 2005 ktm 450. Thanks for the input!! Ps is there much diffrence between this carb and the carb kit sudco sells???
Except for the TPS and choke it looks the same for the most part. I'd be able to tell if the pics were bigger.
i think you should be in the clear, here's why..... that is a newer FCR (Gen 2 or 3) and normally they dont fit because of the exhaust header. but, in '03 the design was changed to accommodate this carb because it came stock in europe this way. so, you should be good. the way to tell is look at your header and see if it has the "weird" bend in it near the back. the purpose of this "kink" was to clear the float bowl of the new carbs. if i was you i'd also replace the intake and airbox boots. you can use the stock one but they arent perfect, plus the rear is a real pain to get on the inlet side. get the ones from a '04 625sxc. laramie
Ok thanks for the info I can email picts if it would help. yes my bike is a 2003 640 adventure and it has that kink in the exhaust. If i need intake boots for both sides and throttle cables. Wouldnt it almost cheaper/better to buy the sudco 016-740a I can get the kit shipped for approv 475.00 The carb pictures is from ebay and he wants 350.00 shipped with cables.
I went the Sudco way, the hardest part was routing the cables, ran great out of the box but it had a little bog that I couldn't adjust out, called JD Jetting and he sent me a kit that cured that.
