Technically not on highway 30, not yet, That would still be 1/2 mile north of this shot . Picture from the main crossing on Lincoln ave looking East. Been over those tracks hundreds of times.

Thanks, it is indeed around Williston, about 12 miles north of town. As for the no rigs or semis, its pretty easy, just stay on the minimum maintenance roads, and on land that already has wells. Here is another taken north of Watford City on the south side of the lake from much earlier this year.

This thread gave me extreme Albertan wanderlust. Boring as those roads could be, I really did love riding out there.
Your so close to the Glendive area. Just south of Glendive past the OHV area. Theodore Roosevelt Park North Unit (south of williston)
that picture there makes me want to go walk that brushline with my shotgun and hunt up some roosters.
This is another wonderful picture that captures the raw beauty of the plains. If one looks closely at the sky, one can see the majestic hues of light purple mixed with the tones of grey. People can have their cities. This is where one can truely become aware of the power of God!
I was struck the same way, and I almost never hunt (only been a few times, several years ago). I was thinking Quail...
