Probably within 20 miles of SR20, but east of Washington Pass, and Loup Loup Pass.

    Here's a little different challenge.

Where is this? To win, you have to explain to all of us how to look up the location of a benchmark when all you have is a picture of it. Because I don't know. In fact, I don't know where this benchmark is exactly. I know the date I took it and where I was riding on that day. But I don't remember where I saw this. So . . . educate us!

Even better, if you know the State, go here:

    http://www.geocaching.com/mark/nearest.aspx
Input the designation as E 216. (the space is required). Input the State.

This only works if the benchmark is in that geocaching database.

    Thanks, Steve.

Geocaching, huh? I would guess that database is only gonna get bigger.

    You're up.

You can also look up the NGS datasheet with the station name and state.
    http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/ds_desig.prl

If you want to go benchmark hunting, besides geocaching search engine you can search from ngs here:
    http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/datasheet.prl

The NGS Data Sheet

See file dsdata.txt for more information about the datasheet.

I don't know but I want to go there!

Reminds me of the Little Weiser River Road west of Lake Cascade in the Payette National Forest.
