thanks! I didnt really intend to do a RR but there are a lot of amazing roads on this ride and I figured if one person dug the pictures or found a cool spot because of this, it was worth it.

Thanks for a great report. I've always wanted to see what some of those roads in the southern Sierras looked like.

As for the Tourance, I think it was the 191mph top speed that did that poor tire in.... clearly, you were on the gas getting across the valley...... :rofl

Don't be showing the forums all the good empty roads where I live! Just kidding, glad you enjoyed. Looks like when you came through I was on my own ride to Tahoe from Tehachapi.

Yeah there was a low flying Cessna thinking he was all that, I just had to show him who was boss. Did I mention my GS has a blower and nitrous?

Hey buddy. Nice report. That was me shredding up Yokohl Valley Road with you. I just couldn't shake that big GS no matter how hard I twisted the throttle. I'll post a couple photos of you when I get home. :D

    Mate,

    Awesome report. :clap:clap:clap

Just one question... Why the tarps are wrapped around the arse end of those vehicles in the car park? Never seen that before... :dunno

Supposedly the marmots get into the wiring of the cars. So for the people that are staying a few days, they wrap they cars. I worried about it because of all the exposed wires on a GS but never saw any

I really appreciated those pictures. I grew up in Tehachapi and spent a lot of time riding motos in the Lancaster/Mojave area, as well as four-wheeling between Tehachapi and Kernville.

Yokohl Valley Road is one of my favorite twisty country roads. Just as I reach the beginning I see a GS rider stopped at the intersection.
I waved and continued on my way. He had so many stickers on his boxes I was unable to spot the ADV one.
I was starting to have a little fun when I noticed the big GS catching up.

I made a quick stop to shoot the big GS in its natural environment.

The guy was railing the corners.

I had a hard time catching up and probably only did because he stopped to shoot me.

Now that I was in front again, there was no way I was losing that position. :D He did a great job keeping up.
Every time I looked over my shoulder he was still there.

That was a ton of fun!

By time we reach Three Rivers I was starving. I stopped in front of The Pizza Factory. The GS rider pulled alongside and stuck out his hand. "Eat Pasta?" he says. I look towards the pizza place. "Uh, sure. Let's do it." I think it took him a couple more tries before he made me understand eatpasta was his ADV moniker.:lol3
