I just returned home from riding around the Trans Labrador Highway, so I thought I would share some photos from the trip. Crossing over into Quebec at the Cumberland-Masson ferry. Ferry crossing number two into Tadoussac. Dinosaurs in Quebec Manic 2 I really enjoyed 389 up to Manic 5. Corner after corner of fun! The gang fueling up at Motel de l'Engerie Manic 5! :eek1 Wow! Taking a break at Relais Gabriel. The stretch of pavement that runs north from Gagnon. Boring. Hurray! It's gravel again. The mine near Labrador City. Labrador! We camped in a RV park just outside of Labrador City.

We were unable to take the usual ferry over to St. Barbe since it was in St John's for repair. In the meantime they were using a freighter for the trucks and cars, but they didn't allow passengers. So they flew us to Newfoundland! We were only charged the regular ferry crossing price. Cheapest flight ever! Long shuttle rides down the highway, but it was worth it for the fun flight. Sorry for only two pictures in Gros Morne, but we had a ferry to catch. MV Highlanders The rooms on board the ferry are totally worth it. I had my first ever flat tire in Halifax. Luckily I was at a friends and had a place to work on it. While I was at it I picked up a new rear tire. I don't think this K60 would have made it back to Ontario. Looks like it's time for the rain pants ahead. Crossing from Rivière-du-Loup to Saint-Simeon for the ride home. Rolled over 50,000km on the way home in Quebec. Not bad for a 2009.
So, Dave gets home around 4pm yesterday, and by 6:30 he's with us heading for the Nippissing Trail. :huh .
11 days is pretty quick for that loop Dave. I love the pics from Red Bay. Can you imagine living there in the Winter DW

Yeah, that felt a little crazy and I think the misquotes were worse here! That would be wild. Although I wouldn't mind experiencing it! They are Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddle and Duffel bags from Dual Sport Plus. The total was right around 6,120km, but I'm sure my rear tire covered a bit more ground than the front at times. There were many Dakar spirited moments along that road. The bugs weren't bad at all. It was still cool in the evening and mornings. Maybe that helped? I never once pulled out my bug jacket! I would like to go back again and have more time to take all the tours. The underground generating station at Churchill Falls looks really interesting.
I couldnt catch up with this guy on Tuesday , he was still high from his translab trip, spinning it at the corners on Nipissing rd. Hope to ride with you again.
the generators room(massive!) is about 300m under ground. Tour is well worth the time, as far as I remember it is free.
