Surely there must be some other strange people out there that get a kick out of restoring and riding these old bikes? Watch ya got? Here's a couple of mine[IMG][IMG] Nothing like bringing a bike back from the dead and reliving your youth:lol3

    Yep! :D
Gotta love an original Tenere. Nice work! :clap
I'm still in progress of rebuilding my DR750, but picked up this one from the original owner last week.

He did 9000kms mainly on the street, then had a small 'off' which caused him to park it for the next 24 years. :rolleyes
Because of being left to the elements for many years, it's cosmetically not perfect, but mechanically it's a real gem and very original.
Just gotta find one of those big 'Dakar' tanks for it and I'll be happy.
I'm just finishing a '75 Husky too but it's hardly an ADV ride....... :evil

I had one of those Honda's... really miss it. Bought new in 82 and sold in a divorce settlement in 85.

    Magic bit of gear!

Had a 79 KLX 250. Rode to Fraser and back then on to Bathurst Easter races ( 1984 ). Wouldn't mind another.

I, like the rest of you did adventure riding as Baz said before it had a name.

My TT500, bought new (notice the ATGATT).
Rode this thing all over the Flinders on a regular basis. You'd be surprised how much shit you can pack on it..:lol3
    I really miss it. :cry

Then I upgraded to an XR600RF

New just out of the box.

The XR is still in my shed.
Didn't bother with pannier racks & shit, just loaded everything on the back of the seat.
Didn't know any better back then....:tb

What size is the Ducati Bootlace, from memory - 250/350/450 in the singles, cranky little pricks if the timing is out, is as much as I remember about them from '70's, :eek1

A bog-stock '95 Dominator. Love it. It's a bit heavy and short on horsepower, but so's the rider.
