And sheep. I wave at sheep and shout, "Mint Sauce!" as I ride past. That keeps them on their toes, darned woolly critters.

I wave at just about anything on two or three wheels. I also wave at Farmers up in their tractors and harvesters, etc. They always smile and wave back, I figure somehow we all have something in common, and it maybe helps break the monotony of what they are doing.

Why Not?:D With all the crap in the world happening - wars, disease, famine, etc., a little wave isn't much effort to make someone a little happier.

I live in a rural area, mostly corn, soybean farmers, and horse farms. Horses always seem curious as to "what the heck is THAT" when you ride by. Cows... notsomuch.

I live in a rural area too, although proximity to Vail/Beaver Creek and Aspen have changed things. Waving being one of them, people all used to wave around here, you know the two finger lift from the steering wheel/handle bar, chances were pretty good you knew the other driver. Not so much now.

My wife rolls down the window to yell at whistle pigs (ground hogs).

What does she yell? "WHISTLE PIG!". She tries to get them to look up.

I always flash the "rock on" horns to scooters while on my dr650.

Mostly because i also have a zuma, and i know how big of a deal it is to be acknowledged by a "real" biker.
Their reactions are priceless, its a mix of "wait, what?" Followed by "OMG he waved first! I'm a real biker!"

I give an over-eager wave to harley guys. Hand straight out in front of me, waving as fast as i can manage.
Mostly because they are too concerned with trying to be a badass than to wave back... Ive gotten the most obvious eyerolls to straight up scowls.

I occasionally (once or twice per year) ride with a guy like him... waves at everybody and everything on the road, does the HONK sign to 18-wheelers, the whole bit. He sometimes does the over-eager wave too, and he's riding an Harley-Davidson.

He's a fun guy, will talk to anyone anywhere, enjoys the hell out of his motorcycling. There are worse things to be/do.:freaky

Scooters and mopeds just plan SUCK! If you can't ride a real bike then you should at least have the self respect to off yourself. In Europe those shitheads are everywhere and we don't need that here.

I wave to anyone on two wheels with a motor. No. Matter. What.
And if I cannot wave, I give em a nod.

Remember you get back that which you put forth into the world.
Put forth some friendliness, why dontcha.

    Your attitude just plain sucks.

Here happens to be an internet forum with inmates from all over the world, riding all makes and types of motorcycle. Hang around if you like, but don't expect respect. :boid

its true. some are just too elite. i mean they even have a scooter named "Elite"

they ride past me as if to say "ciao, baby. i am late for espresso with Sergio, Sven, and Rocco. i haven't the mind to wave at you, you beastly biker" :ken

and if i wave first and am snubbed? then i have just been snubbed by some poofer riding an over priced Italian granny mobile. and you know that can't happen! :lol3
