@Pescador what kind of tires are you riding? The rear tire looks a bitt mor aggressive than an TKC80

Well I just got a good quote on the Conti TKC 80´s today and put up my order.
I hope I get along with them well.

I wish everyone here in the forum a happy new year as well as a safe and fun ride in 2013

Rear tire is a Dulop 606, front is a TKC 80. Dunlop is Very noisey on the road but great off road!
Love the TKC 80 on front.
Dunlop is almost gone at 3,000 miles
I'm going to try Heidenau scout next on rear.
It's sitting in garage just begging to be put on!!

Unfortunately, mixing tires is not allowed in Germany. So I have to find a pair of tires. Until now, I was quite happy with the TKCs, they work well for me almost everywhere. For a knobbie, the TKC is great onroad, it's even possible to scrape the pegs and it works well on most offroad tracks, but not in the mud. So I'm looking for a tire with a litte more offroad capabilities. I'd also appreciate a better mileage, the rear TKC last 2000 miles, the front 4000 miles.

Maybe I will try the Mitas E-09 Dakar next.

I had put TKC80, now I have put mitas E09, the mitas are cheaper and are similar in behavior and duration.

    rear mitas E09 DAKAR

    front mitas E09 normal

The TKC80 front just before change were worn unevenly, seemed a saw, watch this picture carefully.

That's exactly how TKC 80's wear. They wear down the rear part of the front blocks, as that's the part of the front tire that is used during braking.

    hey Jezuar,

thanks fpr the pics. That Mitas front tire profile looks as it could perform a little bit better in Sand and mud. I'll try them soon.

    Hi there!!! GX´ers!!

    I have a G650x country, 2007, 5200km.
Installed recently a booster plug, KN filter (removed the under fairing air box lid), and a Leo vince X3 exhaust.... wraped the exhaust header in aramid tape....
Since that, when the engine is cold, it runs normaly, but suddenly death... start again, runs good, and suddenly off again..... happens for 3 or 4 times on idle only... after, runs normal...

someone had the same issue, with the extras or not, how can you fixed?

    regards form Brazil!!!

Has anyone modified their front fenders and is willing to sell the metal brace? I want to use it to stop the flutter on my Xmoto fender above 90 MPH (on the track - before anyone scolds me!). Thanks!

The battery is the first thing I would look.
It could also be a sensor that is malfunctioning

Wow thanks jezuar that is pretty cool! Owner's manuals in PDF form for almost any bike out there and in multiple languages? Thanks!

A little confusing to navigate but not bad as everything is in English right after the Spanish. Here's a Linky to BMW models, in English
