Hi.....anyone. I've left my DR350 at a repair shop in Ensenada. I need someone down there that can check on my bike for me. It had a hole in the alt case. ....here's the dumbass part. I think I can find the shop but I don't have an address or phone number....and I don't think they speak English. The repair place is over near Mexico st or ave and Coral st or Ave. There are two shops in that area, and It's at the shop a street or 2 to the south of the other shop. Is there a Spanish speaker down there that could help me....PM me if you can or we can swap some phone numbers , and then talk. Thanks in advance.
There's good news and bad news... The good news is, your bike is fixed. The bad news... We can't find it. .
Yeah, huh. I was just happy to be getting out of there, and not going to Jail.....for getting in and accident without Mexican Ins.
Man, you musta had a great time if you don't even remember exactly where you left your busted bike and got back home, and didn't land in jail, and stayed out of the medico. Good luck, hope it all works out for you.
MadMax, found my bike for me. They are working on my bike. Things are looking good. I now have an address and a phone number. I think I can do the rest myself. Damn, ADVrider is worth it's weight in gold. It's at Pitufo's On De Las Aquilos a couple of doors east of Matamoros. I've had these guys fix a broken Clutch cable for me while I waited once before. I'll report on this work when I get the bike back. <http://www.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=31.86533,-116.604252&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=16&sll=31.866916,-116.606655&sspn=0.009786,0.021136&ie=UTF8&ll=31.863366,-116.603148&spn=0,0.021136&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=31.863366,-116.603148&panoid=JK4fY9sIFa32PxhYhJS4Kg&cbp=12,142.88,,1,7.51>

I owe Bob big time, Joel..... Here's the whole story...if you missed it http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=639333&page=2 The last post......... Assfault says... Man, you musta had a great time if you don't even remember exactly where you left your busted bike and got back home, and didn't land in jail, and stayed out of the medico. Good luck, hope it all works out for you. I'll tell you Assfault, after the accident I was on so much adrenaline that I wasn't really running on all cylinder mentally. I'll do better next time.
I talked to Pitufo's today by Phone. His number is a Cell #011 52 1 646 135 9969. The 011 52 is needed to call Mx, and that 1 after the 52 is needed to call a cell phone down there. Pitufo said my bike might be done later today, Sat. I can't get there till next Sat so I will know more then. Things are looking up though. On the subject of ins in Mx, I figure it is to each their own decision. This Fuc#up in Mex has cost me about $700 extra dollars, but over the last 40 years I figure that I've been in Mx 15 days a year. That makes my no ins policy a winner, but the future will hold the real answer as to whether or not I've made a good choice. I've always chosen to take chances.......its just who I am.
When, I'm in trouble, Akiva, I'm not afraid to ask for help. ADV'er will usually come thru..... RiverRat says..... ............... Its guys like you that put the ADV in adventure riding! Yeah, in a small way maybe. My mouth waters though when I read about real ADV'ers is SA or Vietnan or Borneo. Those are the guys that amaze me.
