Sand Riding - VIC 17/18 May 08

Anyone interested in a trip to Wyperfield over said weekend.

Already the usual 5 reprobates are coming. Some of us will trailer the bikes up and set up camp the preceding Thurs night. We need the vehicles/trailers as commonly there are broken bikes and/or riders that need transportation/evacuation.

The area is suitable if you are not too comfy on sand as well. Up further in the national park proper there are some good intro sand roads to ride that would easily soak up 2 days of riding.

Camping out in the scrub, good supply of firewood and generally a roast slab of meat in the weber on one night.

Ive seen what you do to people when there drunk Cam so im a bit scared.The strange thing is i think Knackers enjoys it in some sort of a sick way.

I've got a DSLR as well, + helmet cam. Am planning on bringing laptop and doing some CD burning up there. Bring your software and we can send everybody home with a disc. Even do some video editing rather than sit around a fire drinking. PM on the way.

Any police presence up there??.....dirt bike unregistered at the mo.

We do a 180 km loop, all publics roads and National Park, so chances aren't good. Rec Rego is fine.

What's the sand like ??......looks like real soft powdery stuff.....paddle tyre or knobs ??

Knobs are fine but it is very powdery and chopped up.
