The leprechauns reckon your choice of 'shrooms, so far, is most excellent If I didn't know any better I'd almost suspect that the little fellas might be planning to put a winch on this thing.
Found this with blood red liquid in a hole in the top :huh While working on this a few years back. Perhaps not recommended :eek1 Hmm the video did not work. Not to worry we were fairly high at the time . Love the work so far Luke. A slap on the back for all those little rascals. Try not to spill their booze though.
Cania Gorge via the back way through Kalpower. The TD handled the corrugations well. Passenger is very happy with the ride comfort.
Cool, and thanks for sharing I'm happy that Alison is enjoying the ride. I see you've added some personal touches, as one should. The tool roll is in a neat spot ( or is that a thermos ?), and I'm lurvin' the "run you stick bastards" sticker .
Good morning Luke, Its one of those Tool Tubes. I keep the puncture repair goo in it after a bottle in the Gus Bus top box wore through and leaked all through everything.
Know eye deer what type of 'shrooms those are. That looks like it was an interesting job, Bruce. I wonder what the poor bastard who had to mark out the RL's thought about it all So, how far do the rock anchors penetrate ? Mechanical or a Chemset ? And who was the poor bugger that got to drill the holes ? Brilliant view Always enjoyed working at heights. Thanks, Bruce. The cat's keeping them in line at present. Did you manage to buy that sidecar out of Bundaberg, QLD and get it shipped over ? .
Gday Luke I have no idea what the mushroom was either. It was a scarey looking thing with most likely enough kick to poison a flying vampire elephant. Probably the reason we never see any. The pins into the rock were I think something like 7040 stainless. About 500mm into the rock chemi and grouted. Holes were surveyed 1st then diamond cored into 200mpa granite (took them months) They only dropped one $7000 machine of the side 50m onto to rocks. :eek1 The pins glued in then surveyed again. Living Iron, (I work for) fabbed the walkway (45m long). Spent a total of 9 weeks walking up that mountain daily other than the few times we rode the chopper that lifted everything to the job. Cool transport. Pinacle of my trade career really top of the mountain .... get it?? Sigh! The bit I loved was there were only 2 mistakes really, 1 piece 100mm to long and a couple of stray cleats on the wrong side of the post. 1/2hr to fix. A large part of what I do is driving an ancient island cab truck normally. Sidecar in Bunderberg was to far from Perth sadly as it was cheap to buy but freight? but also gladly. I am a bit fixated on my house build to do it justice right now.
"Spent a total of 9 weeks walking up that mountain daily other than the few times we rode the chopper that lifted everything to the job. Cool transport." AMAZING! Was it a hardtail with apes? omg
Aren't you 'sposed to be in the middle of nowhere doing the Desert Raid ? If he takes you up on the frame the leprechauns could knock up a simple ali' body, if he's interested. .
Sitting in Norseman with a broken bike frame.....Desert Raid is not going to happen for me Broke a bottom sidecar support that dropped hit a rock and tore the bike frame where it was welded in. Needs stripping, cleaning and sleeving and then build new mounts. Too much work to do out here so take.it home and do it there. To say I'm gutted.is an understatement.
Truly sorry to hear that , bully. I know it's no consolation, but at least you are OK. The gear can be repaired. .
got back home this morning, unloaded the outfit from the trailer and got all the gear off it, need to pull out the lightweight camping gear and consolidate everything on to 2 wheels and bug out of here. should be in Rawlinna by lunch tomorrow.
