Hi mate, Greg Slattery of GS Moto 0402 354 428 Rundle Road Salisbury (forget the street number) Slatts does a lot of lights and wiring for the road trial bikes and he knows his stuff when it comes to electrics.

Oh, and welcome to the SA mad house here on advrider, here is your complementary fruit basket

We leave Portland Monday morning and head North up the border picking up riders in Heywood, Wallacedale, Penola and then Bordertown. We are heading to Renmark and maybe camp in Dangalli Park that night.

Next day: heading for Broken Hill.

    Next day:Tourism day maybe

Next day: Station tracks up to Camerons Corner.

Next day: into S.A. via Strezlecki Tk.

Next day: head South towards Gammon Ranges.

    Next day: Head to Yunta.

Next day: Yunta into Dangalli & possibly hit Renmark overnight stop.

Next day: don thermals and rain gear and head South into the gloom of SW Victoria.

it is not set in stone and if we find stuff to look at we will take longer. GA is heading North at Camerons Corner and heading to Birdsville.

Are you staying at the Yunta Pub? We were there last Thursday night and the meals etc were fantastic. Good little area out the back to store the bikes, alongside the fence to the police station. Avoid the rooms on the Barrier Highway side.....it sounds like the trucks are coming through the wall..........ALL NIGHT.

PS. 20+ degrees each day in the Flinders, but down to 0 and 1 sometimes overnight.

    Have a good trip..

Thanks for the heads up AT :D , nothing like a good pub meal & a drink to fill the belly.

This section from CC to Remark via the flinders was going to be a good one to make camp each night but with 5 wise men on dirt bikes, i'm sure we'll do alright :lol3 .

Anyone know where I can get my Zumo 550 repaired?

Was riding between Parachilna Gorge and Quorn in the Flinders Ranges on Monday when I looked down and saw the power button on the GPS flying off into the nether nether. Luckily, the thing still works and powers up and down off the cradle on the bike.

Just rang the Garmin help line and it's gonna cost $200 to send it off for a replacement. Surely there's a cheaper option??

If I can't fix it at least I can make it waterproof with tape and power it manually.

I rang my Arab Mate and he can fix it "No Problem Mate!!!"

He does circuit boards and everything for them.

Good stuff Stu. I'm not even going to be politically incorrect and stab a guess at his name.

This is a bit of an urgent request - I'm fitting a WR450/250 front wheel to my Super Tenere for the Safari ADV Tour and I seem to have overlooked buying a speedo drive during my parts search/aquisition. Does anyone in SA or nearby (in fact anyone who reads this) have a spare Yamaha WR speedo drive they can loan me or sell me - it doesn't have to work. I really need it just to seal the bearing and act as a spacer.

Sundowner, I've got one off my 04 WR 250 you can borrow. I've got a spacer in mine.
