We just returned from a short ride to the Nuevo Leon Mountains, to visit again the area around Rayones (very close to Galeana).

from my tent door I could see this view

and we missed this from a local Quad event......:ddog

We left Reynosa around 3pm and expecting to get with daylight to the camping spot we already knew,
The sun is seting down and we just got to Rayones, still some 15 miles of dirt part to get there, so it would be hard to make it before dark. And on top of that the gas station just did closed so we needed to return next day to fill the mules.

    here getting to Rayones

And so it was like 2 years ago the last time we went there, was kinda hard to find the place in the total darkness.. despite the directions provided by the locals, we did wrong turns about three times, but at last we found it and started placing the tents. We were starving and wanted to start our Classic Grilling Time!!!

Food was really incredible, I do not know what is it, but scramble eggs, coffee, tortillas, frijoles, etc, tastes so better then other places, is magical, is surreal.
