Jailbreak Your iPhone?

I've read several articles recently on why you should Jailbreak your shiny new iPhone.

I'm looking for the other side...

Anyone have any input on why you shouldn't?

Anyone brick their iPhone while attempting to Jailbreak it?

Anyone successfully Jailbreak their iPhone and were sorry they did it and restored it to its previous factory firmware?

Just curious.

This is so wrong to put on an iPhone...

One down side is you have to backup all your jail break items, restore to old OS for updates, and then re-jailbreak you phone again. Did it once, not worth it to me.

Ah! This is the kind of thing I'm looking for. I haven't seen that mentioned in any of the research I've done.

If you jailbreak it can it then do multi tasking? I mean, will things run in the background?

There is an app for apps.

Supposedly, with the Backgrounder app. (An application not allowed by the App Store.)

I've been using a 2G iphone for a couple years Jailbroken and Unlocked to use with t-mobile. The process has gotten easier and faster since I first did it.
I'd say the only thing that I'm not crazy about is that when you want to update the iphone OS, you have to restore the whole phone (after backing up the phone), install the new OS, then re-jailbreak and unlock the phone again. Although, as I said above, it has gotten much faster and easier.

I will mention that the unlocked iphone is by FAR the best phone I've ever had, much better than the Google/Android phone or any of the Blackberry (etc) phones I've used.
