What is with the unprotected walls there, is the economy so bad they can't put up some airfence? I saw another rider crash earlier in the weekend and his bike slammed into a wall while it was sliding on its side, luckily the rider didn't hit the wall too. :eek1

Thankfully Hayden appears to be OK.

Exactly what i was thinking. Rebar, fence post, hella cliff, etc... just glad to hear he was OK.

The way Dani got his backup bike working in qp not surprised he would outpace everyone. Great to see him pick up a win. Was nice to see VR not try to lay any blame on Rea for his running off course.

Fucking moto2. Redding always seems to be the only one who isn't afraid to swap paint with MM. Wish he could have gotten 2nd. Great camera work during the moto2 race. Damn that was a good race. Moto3 wasn't bad either.

So how'd they do?
Rossi- had something missing that was there last race, whatever fire there was in him Rea seemed to extinguish.
Nicky- apparently the solution to pain is more pain.
Dani- What bad race? Another one of his flawless performances.
JLo- Is it really cruising not to mess with somebody who's clearly faster?
Alvaro- Inconclusive and uneventful, not up there with the Yamahas but everyone else who tried to be had problems.

Lorenzo and Marquez now seem to take 2nd, when they have a "bad day"...makes them pretty tough to beat to the title. Marquez did have to fight hard for it, though. I thought someone's not gonna finish, but they did!

Rossi dead last to 8th, not bad, considering the situation, the Ducati etc...
Glad to see Nicki is OK. Can't believe there's no air fence there though :huh

I think his ability to keep a bike up in the shit didn't help him this time. Shoulda "layed her down"

Happy he's ok and wish he could have finished.
Cal almost pulled one off, but IMO the experience Dovi has, keeps him ahead of the Brit.

Im SURE he was trying to save the bike so he could re enter... he just waited too long.. WAY too long.. when flung flipping he actually gained altitude AFTER he cleared the fence in slow motion.. I give it a 10 but really glad he is OK!

Jesus tittyf/%#ing christ... when I saw that I could hardly believe my eyes, the camera angle in the race was from pretty much dead behind, so I thouhgt he was coasting slowly towards the wall. Then weeeee... Spies really, really has a point, and Hayden is soooo lucky. That's some Salzburgring shit right there... And to see the pic from the other side... someone who built that should be held accountable, and they CANNOT be allowed to leave it for next year.

Not really, high 1,50s-low 1,51s throughout with a few exceptions, generally higher. The fastest 1'50.718. Nothing really spectacular, and not in the vicinity of the fast laps by the leaders.

Compared to CRT bikes, VR's laps were quick.

Pedro rode that Honda like he stole it. Seriously, he looked like Casey sliding and manhandling that bike around the track. He may yet give George a run for the money, but only if Casey comes back and starts taking 2nd place points off of Lorenzo on a regular basis. And then Dani's big worry is that Casey might be taking 1st place points off of him. Maybe thats why he is riding like Stoner. Or maybe he's been watching Marquez ride in Moto2?

Anyone can bitch about Misano all they want, but most riders have at least one bad result a year. And GL had his too, so all else being equal, Lorenzo has simply had a better year than Dani. It's tough to beat a guy who is always on the top 2 steps of the podium.
