    G'day Everybody

Czechie (David) an inmate here, his parents have come visiting from the Czech republic and during the easter break, It was decided that the boys get together and do a ride and show Czechie's dad some beautiful Australiana!

So the plan was not to do a big ride but also show some beautiful countryside.

The trip was finally planned as Sydney - Nabiac - Barrington Tops, Back to Mount Wilson and then to Sydney.

The Bikes were packed up and fuelled on Tursday. Friday Morning, we are ready to go:

We took the F(ing)3 till Nabiac. The Traffic was BAD! But us bikes just rode on the side shoulder.... so long suckers!!:lol3

    Rest stop on the freeway

We reached the Motorcycle museum in Nabiac

I had not expected to see such bike porn! Over 780 Motorbikes from 1910! and photos, memorabilias.... it was an amazing experience... didnt know where the 2 hours went!

    Some images from the Museum

I even found this 1985 Casper Rally tropy!!

And this was aptly named the Bush Pig!! Check out the "dual" (literally!) rear tyres!!:deal

After the Museum, we stopped at a local Restaurant for lunch

We then realise that it is Easter Friday and no take away grog!! :eek1 We all went into instant panic!! WHAT? camping with no grog??? But the owner of the restaurant was so nice. She gave us a free bottle of red!! Our faith in Humanity was restored....:thumb

We then rode to Glouster and then on Scones road to Manning River reserve and camped there for the night.

    Next morning at Camp

We had to show the overseas tourists all the BIG ozzie things... like the BIG Banana, Pineapple and... ummm.. BIG ROCK!??

It was a beautiful ride out of Manning River Reserve into Scones

We then rode through Singleton, Putty Road, Colo, stocked up at Kurrajong and off to Mount Wilson for camping for the night.

Next morning - Sunday, we took an easy ride to Echo point

and back home safe and sound in Sydney by early afternoon.

It was great fun to show Czechie's dad around.

Great ride & photos, thanks for sharing :clap

It's amazing when you get the job of showing visitors around what you can actually find (re the Motorcycle Museum in Nabiac) right under our own noses. :wings

    Dear all,

Bala has forgotten to mention that without him it just would not happen. My Aussie friend was so nice that he pulled out both his bikes (except for the third one, R1, which is at the dealer to be sold, I can feel Bala's grief in his heart) so every of us had a bike. Of course, my Transalp was the best one :clap but my father rode it very patiently so we could keep pace with him :rofl .

Thanks mate one more time. Can't wait to post a ride report from the Czech Republic, of course a ride with you mate!!!

My father has just mentioned that he is keen on buying some old, vintage bikes (wrecks preferably) as he is into it. So guys if you have or know anybody who has got a wreck at the backyard, please let me know.

Pictures from my camera are coming soon!!

Since I'm from Czech Republic as well, I might be able to solve your little Orag mystery . Ogar is long forgotten Czech brand of motorcycles produced by company called Autfit (sic!) from 1933 in Prague. In 1948 the company was nationalized and adjointed to well known Jawa. Last motorcycles called Ogar (even thou it was just rebranded Jawa 350) were produced in the beginning of Fifties. Considering the jawa-red colour and shape of the logo I guess the pictured bike could be one of them. More info (in Czech only, but interesting photos nevertheless http://www.idragons.cz/view.php?cisloclanku=2006040701)

The Bush Pig comes from Darwin in the Northern Territory and was built in the mid 90's by an eccentric German electrician and BMW fanatic named Klaus for the annual Kamfari swamp race. Not suprisingly it was unsuccessful. Klaus liked to do things his own way, which ultimately led to a sad end. Anyway, another time he entered an enduro/cross country event out at Gunn Point. It was a bit after midday when he came by the main checkpoint on one of his laps. He looked at his watch and declared "It is lunchtime, I will now stop and have my lunch". Unfortunately his issues were rather more serious than just stubbornness and he ended up being shot dead by police in 1996 out on the Cox Penisula Road after he lost the plot and ran amok in Palmerston.
