It took me 17 days to get from So Cal to BC. Might be a record for the slowest ride up here. But I logged in about 3000 miles doing it and stopped and got off the bike and hiked, kayaked and wine tasted my way up here.
But starting tomorrow, I am going to start racking up the miles. Winter is coming and I need to get out of Alaska before it ices up on me.
Today I went wine tasting in the BC wine country. Their wines have really improved. But the skies opened up on me and I am soaked. The temp went from 95 degress to 65 in about an hour. I even got some hail. I ducked inside a Tim Horton's and drug in sooooo much water they had to put the "warning wet floor" signs out.
Ok, here comes some more pictures........is anyone reading this stuff any way?

I saw my first bear of the trip while hiking on the trails. The bear was looking for a hand out I think. I tried to move in for a closer shot but the bear just moved away.

View from Washington Pass. Check out the thunderstorms raging behind me, I was so memorized be the lightning show that I waited to long and it dumped on me. I did get in to my Rev'it one piece rain suit and stayed completely dry

It's free to camp within the national forest and you can find spots like this all to yourself

Here are the storm clouds rolling in from Oganogan Valley. I got soaked. But my Rev'it Defender suit did a great job keeping most of the water off me but in the end, I did get a little wet. I didn't bother to zip in the Gore tex. I wanted to see how it would do without it. But it POURED!!!!!

I hate to camp in camp grounds......and why should I when I can find places like this for free. I was up there watching the sun go down, sipping on some wine and dancing to the music on my i pod player. It was a special moment
