Ah, the joys of underemployment. Got fired as they sold my job to a remote firm in California. It will be interesting to see how the MDs. & medical professionals get to wait while someone unknown 3500 miles away solves their issues.... when they get around to it.

    Que Sera.

6 weeks pay, cash in my 190 hours of PTO, then the dole. Oh, I am looking, but jobs are few and far between here.

So. Spring. Yeah! Back to being a scooter rat and enjoying la motos.

190 hours is an extra 5 weeks. You've got 3 months of money.

You can either be pessamistic about it, or enjoy your 3 month scooter adventure to all the places you want to visit.

In 2 years time, you'll only remember one of these :) Go and grab the adventure by the balls

Please, Red and Scootrboy, grab a GPS and confirm your speeds on the Aero. I think mine is running excellent and it won't touch 60mph much less cruise there. If you are correct I have some work to do.

The Aero 125 should reach approximately 54 indicated - on GPS that would be likely to be reduced to 49 mph actual or there about.

Exactly my thoughts. Been bombing around on the scooter, prepping all the motorcycles. Met the usual suspects at The Wedge Wed Night Bike Night.

    So far, so good.

baloneyskin daddy ~ Welp, I do not have a GPS machine, but I do have a Heinkel to test my road speeds. You have to remember weight might have some bearing on this land speed record for the Aero. :eek1

I weigh 118. and Aero is in tip top shape!

I was following it at 57 mph on the original VDO speedometer with 120/90 tires, adjusting the speed to 60 mph. She was taking me to the design limits of my perfect running Heinkel. Her cruising speed was at least 55 mph for miles and miles of desert.

A bargain. Turns over with key. All those parts are available with a membership at coop salvage prices. Oldhippie, here is your Heinkel.

Old Hippie has BIG hospital bill to pay. Over $35,000. Also sold Helix's to free up space in garage. Happy with the simplicity of just one two wheeler at this time. If I was younger I'd be interested but I can only ride one at a time. That would be a nice present for Ya Ya. Only appreciate in price over the years. Think what it would be worth when she's our age.

villageidiot ~ You are absolutely correct on the pedals. Ya-Ya did really good as a first time motorista. I did tell her about the pedals when I showed her about Puch's gadgets...but I think she had a lot on her mind especially when turning sharply and encountering cars. I do think Puch is a really great step for beginners, we will see how she does on a motorcycle next week at the MSC.

    oldhippie1 ~ Yikes! $35,000 for your heart operation? Is that a co-pay?

It is really hard to decide what to get Ya-Ya because she will only be in SF a short time then off to college. Portland is rather rainy most the school year. She really wants a scooter. I wish she could take a course in scooter maintenance other wise when her scooter brakes down...I would probably buy her an Elite newish like DaBinCh's.

My sister is laid up in Scotland. No mention of hospital bills. I miss the national health care system despite the propaganda. Good luck old hippie.
